  12.           also  protected  by  US Trade  Secret  Laws.   Any
  13.           unauthorized duplication of this product,  whether

  18.           LICENCE AGREEMENT

  20.           IPE   Corporation  Ltd.  grants  a   non-exclusive
  21.           Licence  to  use PROTEC NET under  the  terms  and
  22.           conditions of this agreement.  The buyer  may  use
  23.           this software on a single computer only and may not
  24.           sub-license or duplicate the program for  purposes
  25.           of distribution, or provide time-sharing services.
  26.           If  you  have  multiple Licences for the  software
  27.           then  you  may have at any time as many copies  of
  28.           the  software  in use as you have Licences.   This
  29.           software and license may be transferred to another
  30.           party  only if the other party agrees to abide  by
  31.           all   terms   and  conditions  of   this   license
  32.           agreement.

  66.           registration    card.     Without    registration,
  67.           technical   support  cannot   be   provided.    In
  68.           addition, registered users receive product  update

  71.           MANUAL CONVENTIONS

  73.           Throughout this manual, PROTEC NET may be referred
  74.           to  as PROTEC Novell NetWare as NetWare, Microsoft
  75.           Windows  as  Windows and Microsoft Disk  Operating
  76.           System as DOS.

  78.           Throughout this manual, keys appear in CAPS.  Keys
  79.           may appear in different combinations.

  81.           ·    Keys that are separated by a '+' sign indicate you must
  82.             hold down the first key while pressing the second.  For
  83.             example ALT+K means you must press and hold the ALT while
  84.             pressing the K.

  102. supervisors may use Technical Support.  Regular users do not
  103. have access to the system elements needed to solve technical

  107.           PROTEC NET CONTENTS

  109.           Before  installing  PROTEC  NET,  make  sure   the
  110.           package contains the following:

  116.           If  any  of  these items is missing, contact  your

  119.           SYSTEM COMPATIBILITY

  121.           PROTEC  NET is compatible with the IBM PC,  PC-XT,
  122.           PC-AT,  and  PS/2 family and other  IBM-compatible
  123.           systems  with a DOS-compatible hard disk.   PROTEC
  124.           NET  runs  under PC-DOS and MS-DOS (versions  3.2-
  125.           6.2) and is compatible with Microsoft Windows 3.1.

  127.           PROTEC  NET  is  compatible with disk  compression
  128.           programs.   PROTEC  NET's Boot Protection  feature
  129.           automatically    detects   for    the    following
  130.           compression programs:  Microsoft Double Space  and
  131.           STAC Stacker.

  133.           PROTEC NET supports MDA, CGA, EGA, VGA, Super  VGA
  134.           and Hercules video.  Contact Technical Support for
  135.           platform compatibility information.

  137.           PROTEC  NET  utilizes  EMS  memory  according   to
  138.           Lotus/Intel/Microsoft       Expanded        Memory
  139.           Specification (LIM EMS) version 3.2 or 4.0.
